ExB, a leading provider of Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), announces a change in the company’s management. Founder and CEO Dr. Ramin Assadollahi steps down and takes over as Chairman of the Board. Tobias Brix, an experienced scaling expert in the fields of data, AI and automation, succeeds him and will lead ExB into its next stage of growth.
Dr. Ramin Assadollahi: A Visionary Pioneer Remains on Board
Dr. Ramin Assadollahi founded ExB with the vision of revolutionizing document processes through customized AI models. Under his leadership, ExB has become a technology leader in the field of IDP and has developed a flexible IDP platform that helps companies to efficiently automate complex document handling processes. Assadollahi is recognized as a thought leader in the field of AI and has been instrumental in positioning ExB as a highly innovative company.
“The decision to step down as CEO is a natural progression for me and the company,” explains Assadollahi. “I remain a founder and inventor at heart, and now that I see that our IDP solution is very successfully solving real customer problems, it’s time to hand over the reins to someone who knows how to scale successfully.”
In the past few years, Assadollahi has also strategically expanded the management team to ensure that ExB is led by experienced managers in all key areas. “I am proud that we have been able to bring excellent employees as well as team leads on board across all departments,” emphasizes Assadollahi. This team of smart minds ensures that the company can operate flexibly in a rapidly changing market environment and offer its customers sustainable added value. “As Chairman of the Board, I look forward to continuing to support the strategic direction and promote ExB’s innovative strength,” Assadollahi confirms.
Tobias Brix: New CEO With a Focus on Scaling
With Tobias Brix, a CEO who specializes in the scaling of SaaS companies is taking over the lead. Brix has extensive experience in the SaaS sector including growing a B2B SaaS platform company from 13 m EUR to 44 m EUR revenue and listing it on the Australian stock exchange.
“Especially since working for IBM and Watson, I am passionate about transforming unstructured data (natural language) with the help of machine learning and AI. I see enormous potential in the intelligent automation of document processes and I am convinced that we will be successful in various markets with our flexible AI solutions,” says Brix.
New Stage of Growth: Expansion and Innovation
The change marks the beginning of a new era at ExB. While the company has already laid a strong technological foundation under Assadollahi’s leadership, the focus is now on growth. The logistics, retail and manufacturing sectors in particular, as well as the partner business, offer ExB great opportunities.
“ExB has established itself as a pioneer in intelligent document processing. We now want to build on this foundation and take ExB to new heights of growth. Our mission: to help companies achieve more efficient and error-free processes through intelligent document processing,” adds Brix.
Continuity and Change: Leadership Expertise
With the change at the top, ExB is demonstrating both continuity and change. While Assadollahi will continue to contribute his strategic expertise as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Tobias Brix will manage the operational business and implement the scaling strategy. This combination of many years of experience and fresh impetus ensures that ExB focuses on stability and innovation.
